Position Details

Job Title: Assistant Store Manager
Location: Store 424, 3675 S Durango Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89147
Position Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $14.00 – $15.00 per hour; may increase after 90‑day probation

Position Summary

The Assistant Manager is responsible for maintaining and operating a Company‑owned retail facility in a safe, customer‑focused, and profitable manner. Support the Store Manager in daily operations, managing employees, payroll, merchandising, and customer relations, especially when the manager is not in the store. Duties include supervising and training staff; troubleshooting daily close‑out and shift sales; and assisting with shift coverage. We seek a candidate with a positive, team‑oriented management style, enthusiastic attitude, and the knowledge and skills listed below.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in managing the store regarding daily operations, employees, payroll, merchandising, and customer relations.
• Maintain good customer relations and resolve complaints in a timely, professional manner.
• Prepare and transmit daily bookkeeping, invoicing, and gasoline data as required.
• Complete daily banking activities.
• Troubleshoot daily close‑out and shift sales analysis.
• Provide shift coverage when no other employees are available.
• Safeguard and account for cash received and disbursed and meet banking requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and/or walk for an entire shift.
• Lift and/or carry up to 60 lbs. from ground to waist level as needed.
• Lift and/or carry up to 30 lbs. from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes per shift.
• Push and pull with arms up to a force of 20 lbs.
• Bend at waist with some twisting for up to 1 hour per shift.
• Grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hand-eye coordination, including climbing a ladder to retrieve materials or place signage, up to 4 hours per shift.

Working Conditions

• Perform approximately 95% of duties indoors.
• Exposure to intermittent indoor cold temperature extremes when working in a walk-in cooler or freezer.
• Work in small spaces at times; work independently.
• Work with minimal direction and periodic supervision.

Equipment, Tools, and Materials

• Electronic equipment: POS (cash register), store telephone, lottery machine, money order machine, phone card machine, EBT machine, Western Union equipment, and food-preparation equipment.
• Manual equipment: cleaning supplies (rubber gloves, mop, broom, degreaser/defoamer, etc.), flat cart, hand truck, grocery basket, etc.
• Handles liquids, cloth, plastic, glass, paper, rubber, and cleaning solvents.
