Job Details

Location: Store 17, 8816 S Eastern Avenue (39842 SS2), Las Vegas, NV 89123.

Position Type: Full‑Time/Part‑Time.

Salary Range: $14.00 – $16.00 hourly. Hiring range: $14.00 – $16.00/hr. depending on store location, merit, and employee experience (may be eligible for a pay increase after a 90‑day probationary period).

FLSA: Non‑exempt (eligible for overtime).

DOL Status: Full‑time and part‑time available.

Reports to: Store Manager.

Position Summary

The Assistant Manager position is responsible for maintaining and operating a Company‑owned retail facility in a safe, customer‑focused, and profitable manner. The role supports the Store Manager in daily operations, employee management, and store oversight, especially when the manager is not in the store. Responsibilities include supervision and training of employees, troubleshooting daily close‑out and shift sales, and assisting with shift coverage.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in managing the store regarding daily operations, employees, payroll, merchandising, and customer relations.
• Maintain good customer relations and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare and transmit the daily bookkeeping, invoicing, and gasoline data as required.
• Complete daily banking tasks.
• Troubleshoot daily close‑out and shift sales analysis.
• Assist the Store Manager with shift coverage when no other employees are available.
• Safeguard and account for cash received and disbursed, and be responsible for banking requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift.
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 60 lbs. from ground to waist level as needed.
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 lbs. from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes of shift.
• Ability to push and pull with arms up to a force of 20 lbs.
• Ability to bend at waist with some twisting up to 1 hour of shift.
• Ability to grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands; work requires hand‑eye coordination, including climbing a ladder to retrieve materials or place signage, up to 4 hours of shift.

Working Conditions

• Perform approximately 95% of duties indoors.
• Exposure to intermittent indoor cold temperature extremes when working in walk‑in cooler or freezer.
• Work in small spaces at times; work independently.
• Work with minimal direction and periodic supervision.

Equipment, Tools, and Materials

• Electronic equipment: POS (cash register), store telephone, lottery machine, money order machine, phone card machine, EBT machine, Western Union equipment, food‑preparation equipment, etc.
• Manual equipment: cleaning supplies (e.g., rubber gloves, mop, broom, degreaser/defoamer, etc.), flat cart, hand truck, grocery basket, etc.
• Handles liquids, cloth, plastic, glass, paper, rubber, and cleaning solvents.
