Working with minimal supervision, the Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all store operations. Using elements of GameStop's buy, sell, trade, and reservation business model, the Assistant Store Manager fosters a sales culture by creating personalized solutions for guests and providing outstanding service through professional conduct and shared passion for gaming.

You will be responsible for ensuring products are visible and accessible, building sales by sharing product knowledge, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and growing guest loyalty. This position supervises Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager.

Essential Duties:

• Provide exceptional guest service: greet guests, respond to questions, assist with gaming needs, inform about promotions, recommend items, and thank guests for shopping.
• Support the shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, sales initiatives, and guest relationships.
• Process transactions accurately using POS systems, handle guest inquiries, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Promote guest benefits like reservations, trade-in programs, and loyalty programs.
• Assist in training and supervising store associates, providing feedback, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Manage scheduling, staffing, payroll, and store operations including inventory, safety, and store cleanliness.
• Ensure all store records are maintained properly, and all policies and procedures are followed.

Qualifications:

• Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the U.S.
• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business or related field preferred.
• Retail management or sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of video games is a plus.
