A leading retail store in Wayne, New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee guest services and support store operations. This role involves working closely with the Store Manager to ensure maximum sales and profitability, develop staff, and manage inventory control. Ideal candidates should have prior retail or management experience, as well as the ability to handle physical demands like standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining Guest Services. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability by developing staff, controlling expenses and shrinkage as well as all aspects of merchandising and inventory control in adherence with all Company policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

The minimum age requirement for an Assistant Store Manager is 18. The physical demands of the job require in excess of 8 hours of standing, walking, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

Prior retail and or management experience is required.
