Job Summary

The assistant store manager is a key member of the retail network, balancing retail excellence with a passion for people and the brand. This role involves encouraging successful retail operations, delivering outstanding brand experiences, and supporting the store manager. The assistant manager works hands-on with staff and local riders, supporting store events and ensuring exceptional rider service, customer satisfaction, and meeting sales and profitability goals.

How You’ll Make a Difference
  • Represent the store and lead retail staff, managing daily operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Assist with scheduling, inventory, and team development.
  • Coach and support retail team members.
  • Help improve the store’s profitability by managing costs and increasing revenue.
  • Create transformative, inclusive, ride-focused experiences for staff and riders.
  • Track revenue goals and support store performance objectives.
  • Build long-term relationships with key riders and retailers based on data and preferences.
  • Maintain organizational standards for cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Ensure timely delivery of special orders and home deliveries.
  • Collaborate with service and operations teams to ensure rider expectations and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Win
  • Passion for cycling and the Specialized brand.
  • At least 1 year of retail experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with riders and team members.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, and lift at least 50 lbs. using proper techniques.
