POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture, aligning with our values and guiding principles. Responsibilities include managing sales operations, asset protection, and human resources functions to ensure a great customer experience and maximum profitability. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performance Culture
  • Analyze sales reports and KPIs to determine business needs; execute in-store business and sales strategies with the Store Manager.
  • Establish and communicate clear expectations; hold team and self accountable for achieving standards.
  • Control payroll and supply budgets.
  • Oversee operational activities such as scheduling, inventory, opening/closing duties, and merchandise flow.
  • Manage financial activities including cash handling, price changes, and register transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, loss prevention policies, and operating procedures; train associates accordingly.
  • Handle inventory receipt, dispatch, replenishment, and physical inventories.
  • Maintain visual presentation, organization, and facility upkeep.
  • Develop a high-performance culture, motivate the sales team to meet goals.
  • Train and coach staff on product knowledge and sales techniques.
Building High Performing Teams
  • Motivate and inspire the team, fostering a shared vision and core values.
  • Promote inclusive problem-solving and effective communication.
  • Seek personal development opportunities and feedback to enhance leadership skills.
Customer Experience
  • Model and promote excellent personal service and omni-channel experience.
  • Use sales techniques and product knowledge to assist customers.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly.
  • Ensure efficient register operations and adherence to payment policies.
  • Maintain consistent client communication and engagement programs.
Talent Management
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, and developing team members.
  • Support training programs and assess performance.
  • Address HR issues promptly and effectively.
  • Recognize and reward outstanding employee performance.
  • Ensure adherence to employment policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years retail management experience preferred
  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to learn company technology
  • Proven customer service and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Knowledge of store operations and administrative tasks
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Constant walking/standing (67-100%)
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (1-33%)
  • Frequent climbing (34-66%)

The wage range is $19.50 to $24.50, determined by qualifications. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, holidays, overtime, insurance, employee assistance, and discounts. Visit our Careers page for more info.
