POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in fostering a customer and product-focused sales culture. This role involves managing sales operations, asset protection, and human resources to ensure a great customer experience and maximize profitability. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performance Culture
  1. Analyze sales reports and KPIs to identify business needs; collaborate with Store Manager to execute sales strategies.
  2. Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable for meeting brand, performance, and behavior standards.
  3. Manage payroll and supply budgets.
  4. Oversee operational activities such as scheduling, inventory, opening/closing duties, and merchandise flow.
  5. Handle financial activities including cash management, price changes, and register transactions.
  6. Ensure compliance with laws, loss prevention policies, and operating procedures; train associates accordingly.
  7. Manage inventory receipt, dispatch, replenishment, and physical inventories.
  8. Maintain visual presentation and facility standards reflective of the brand.
  9. Develop a high-performance sales team to meet sales and productivity goals.
  10. Train and coach staff on product knowledge and sales techniques.
Building High Performing Teams
  1. Motivate and inspire the team, promoting shared vision and core values.
  2. Encourage an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  3. Communicate effectively with the team and Store Manager to lead positive change.
  4. Seek personal development opportunities and feedback to enhance leadership skills.
Customer Experience
  1. Promote and model the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles for a cohesive omni-channel experience.
  2. Utilize sales techniques and product knowledge to assist customers and recommend merchandise.
  3. Resolve customer concerns promptly.
  4. Ensure efficient register operations and adherence to payment policies.
  5. Maintain ongoing customer communication and engagement through rewards and sign-ups.
Talent Management
  1. Assist in recruiting, hiring, and developing a high-performing team.
  2. Support training programs and assess team performance.
  3. Address human resources issues promptly and effectively.
  4. Recognize and reward outstanding employee performance.
  5. Ensure adherence to employment policies.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years retail management experience preferred
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Adaptability to technology
  • Proven customer service and sales leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Leadership and team-building skills
  • Knowledge of store operations
  • Effective communication with customers and staff
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Compensation:

The wage range is $20.50 to $25.75, based on qualifications.

Physical Requirements:
  • Constant walking/standing (67-100%)
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (1-33%)
  • Frequent climbing (34-66%)
