General Function / Summary:

They embody the company’s values and ethics in support of our mission. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring outstanding customer service and regulatory compliance.

Job Description
Essential Duties:
  • Serve and educate customers on the product portfolio, presenting all options that meet their needs.
  • Escalate issues to the store manager, District Director of Operations (DDO), or corporate office if unresolved directly with the customer.
  • Answer telephone inquiries regarding questions, applications, requests, or issues.
  • Perform outbound sales, courtesy, and collection calls in accordance with regulations and store expectations.
  • Respond professionally to customers, explaining solutions and ensuring they feel supported and valued.
  • Handle cash, manage cash drawers, deposits, and other cash handling tasks; may include bank deposits or pickups.
  • Balance daily receipts with sales reports and resolve discrepancies.
  • Verify customer information and process transactions accurately, including loans, check cashing, and Net Spend.
  • Comply with federal and state regulations, company policies, and complete required trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 1+ year experience in sales, customer service, or cash handling preferred.
  • Strong communication and active listening skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance required.
  • Willingness to live and embrace core values of accountability, inclusiveness, transparency, and focus.
Physical Demands:
  • Work in retail/office environment with extensive cash handling.
  • Extended phone and computer use, long periods of standing.
  • Must lift up to 50 lbs with accommodations.
Travel / Attendance:
  • Travel to stores within the district, possibly overnight.
  • Work scheduled shifts.
