Overview:

The Assistant Store Manager’s major responsibilities include supporting the Store Manager and managing the store in their absence. This role is essential in meeting the financial and operational performance standards set by the Store Manager and Company for the Grocery Department.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and supervise the Grocery Department, Front End, and Load Crew.
  • Achieve operational goals for the Grocery department within the financial budget.
  • Ensure all administrative duties are completed and operational issues are addressed.
  • Ensure staff development and training for superior customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and government requirements.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Supervise all store staff in the absence of the Store Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years management experience in a food-related/retail site.
  • Intermediate Computer skills with Microsoft programs.
  • Ability to pass a background and credit check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4-year college degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 1-2 years experience at Mollie Stone’s Markets.

Competencies:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Professionalism and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting: min. of 50lbs.
  • Standing: Frequently.
  • Walking: Frequently.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $71,000-99,000 per year.
