Assistant Store Manager - Security Mall, Baltimore, MD

Position Summary

The primary purpose of the Assistant Store Manager is to assist the Store Manager in daily store operations, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandising, managing expenses and inventory, training staff, human resources management, and providing outstanding customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the quality and performance of the retail store staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Model effective leadership to motivate the team towards store goals and standards.
  • Assist with recruitment, selection, training, and development of store personnel.
  • Support performance evaluations and provide feedback to the Store Manager.
  • Help manage expenses and develop strategies to meet budget goals.
  • Monitor store issues related to loss or inconsistencies to meet shrinkage targets.
  • Ensure operational compliance, safety, and business standards are maintained.
  • Support employee training in selling and merchandising techniques.
  • Uphold customer service standards to ensure a friendly shopping environment.
  • Assist with inventory counts and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Requires at least one year of retail management experience. Skills include excellent communication, interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, professionalism, analytical ability, organizational skills, discretion, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Flexibility to work in multiple stores and travel is required.

Physical Requirements
  • Stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel are necessary.
Compensation

Hourly pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00, with bonus opportunities. Full-time roles include benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401K, and paid time off.
