PAY RATE: $18.00

ABOUT THE ARC

The Salvation Army (TSA) Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program to assist men & women in their journey to complete our rehabilitation program. We value our employees' contributions toward the effectiveness of our programs. The organization relies on the dedication of its staff.

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

  • Provide customers with excellent selection and service, and maintain well-organized stores to support spiritual, social, and rehabilitation programs.
  • Meet store sales and income targets while managing expenses to maximize profit.
  • Create a positive environment for Beneficiaries through collaboration with program staff.
  • Implement effective Work Therapy Assignments to keep Beneficiaries on track.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED).
  • At least 2 years of retail management or supervisory experience, preferably in thrift stores.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Valid Driver's license, able to pass MVR, show proof of insurance, and have access to a vehicle.
  • Must pass background checks including criminal and sex offender registry.
  • Effective communication skills with management, staff, customers, and donors.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist regularly.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects like carts, fixtures, and merchandise.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform repetitive motions as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Partner with the Store Manager in daily operations including opening/closing, POS, inventory, and donations.
  2. Manage store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
  3. Monitor performance indicators to increase sales and profitability.
  4. Schedule staff and manage payroll records.
  5. Assist in hiring, training, and coaching staff.
  6. Address personnel issues and conduct performance reviews.
  7. Ensure high customer and donor satisfaction and develop service strategies.
  8. Support Back Room Processing and supervise Beneficiaries' work therapy.
  9. Secure store assets including cash, inventory, and property.
  10. Maintain safety protocols and conduct safety meetings.
  11. May be relocated as needed.
  12. Complete tasks assigned by management.

SCHEDULE

Stores operate 7 days a week. Flexibility is required for evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Salvation Army complies with all COVID-19 safety regulations, including vaccination requirements if applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: GED or High School diploma required.
