Job Description

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is responsible for leading the store's daily operations in the absence of the General Manager and supporting the GM in all aspects of store management. The ASM reviews business results, plans for improvements, manages ordering, and ensures all team members deliver exceptional customer service. Benefits include health insurance, 401K, and other options.

Daily Duties
  • Ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.
  • Resolve customer concerns efficiently and effectively.
  • Implement training plans for Customer Service Associates (CSAs) and conduct hands-on training.
  • Supervise daily tasks and performance of associates, including recruiting, hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Delegate tasks and follow up as necessary.
  • Support, motivate, and coach store team members.
  • Monitor and analyze business performance to meet store goals.
  • Manage cash and lottery processes.
  • Uphold integrity, honesty, and respect in all work activities.
  • Assist the General Manager with ongoing tasks and responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Experience in managing and directing teams.
  • Minimum of 45 hours per week; flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Goal-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 35 lbs.
