Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Texas to help lead store operations and ensure a customer-first experience.

You will supervise staff, assist with scheduling, merchandising, and deposits, and play a key role in protecting company assets while maximizing profitability. Experience in retail and supervisory roles is preferred, with strong communication and math skills valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, restocking, and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through damages control, scanning, and paperwork.
• Support planogram implementation and merchandising presentation.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and deposits.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager's absence.
