Job summary

Serv-U-Success is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Champaign, IL. This hands-on leadership role supports daily store operations, leads shifts, and coaches teams to meet high standards of customer service and execution.

You’ll drive store projects, maintain safe, organized environments, and partner with the Store Manager to deliver exceptional results. This full-time role requires travel within the pod and wider region and offers weekend and holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• Two or more years of retail, grocery, merchandising, or customer service experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to travel between locations as scheduled and assigned, both in the local pod and the wider region
• Depending on the specific position, a valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and a Department of Motor Vehicles check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations, including merchandising, product resets, remodels, and special projects.
• Lead assigned shifts and serve as Manager on Duty when needed.
• Coach, train, and motivate team members while reinforcing company standards and best practices.
• Monitor project progress and help ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Build positive relationships with customers, store leadership, and team members.
• Promote a culture of safety by modeling safe work practices and maintaining clean, organized work areas.
• Utilize company technology and reporting systems to support daily operations and project execution.
