Purpose Of The Role

The Assistant Store Manager Retail Floor is a key leader within the store, potentially acting as the Store Manager in their absence. They oversee operational activities, ensuring positive experiences for employees and customers, and retail profitability, aligned with our Mission and Values. They set expectations for policy and procedure adherence, respond to employee performance issues, and foster a culture of respect, professionalism, teamwork, and service.

Key Areas Of Responsibility

  • Operational Oversight: Promotes sales and marketing strategies, manages store layout and merchandising, conducts floor walks, and ensures product delivery and presentation standards.
  • Customer Service: Ensures positive shopping experiences and handles complaints professionally.
  • Cash Handling: Supervises cash procedures, including reconciliation and deposits, ensuring safety and accuracy.
  • Staffing and Employee Development: Oversees staff, conducts interviews, manages training, and supports performance evaluations.
  • Employee Engagement and Morale: Promotes engagement through meetings, check-ins, and recognition.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensures adherence to laws and policies, maintains a safe environment, and addresses safety concerns.
  • Additional Duties: Performs other tasks as assigned by the Store Manager and supports other departments as needed.
