Job Description
This position involves several responsibilities aimed at achieving sales goals, maintaining store standards, and managing store operations. The following outlines the key duties and requirements:
Primary Responsibilities
- Sales and Customer Service: Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service. Meet or exceed company objectives across all individual statistics. Provide consistent, documented feedback on sales performance, supporting associates' development.
- Store Maintenance and Appearance: Adhere to visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness. Maintain a professional appearance in line with the Dress Code Policy.
- Expense and Inventory Control: Protect company assets per retail policies. Assist in scheduling to ensure proper store coverage within wage control guidelines. Manage inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and counting products. Document and record all transactions per policies and legal requirements. Open and close the store following operational procedures.
- Compliance and Policies: Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Additional Duties
- Participate in training programs, set sales and task goals, and follow up regularly.
- Assist in recruiting and training staff on store operations and procedures.
- Encourage compliance with policies, safeguarding inventory, funds, and property.
- Perform duties of subordinates as needed.
- Communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent plus at least one year of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to achieve sales results while minimizing loss.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in operating computers and relevant software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work with hands overhead.
- Standing for up to 100% of work time.
