Generate Sales
- Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.
- Meet or exceed company objectives in all individual sales statistics.
- Learn to provide consistent, documented appraisals of an associate’s sales performance, offering feedback on areas of strength and opportunity while aligning with company objectives.
- Adhere to current visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the dress code policy.
Control Expenses
- Protect company assets within the guidelines of LIDS retail policies.
- Assist in preparing store schedules that ensure proper coverage and adhere to wage control policies.
- Follow policies to accurately manage store inventory, including receiving, transferring, completing price changes, and conducting product counts.
- Perform proper documentation and record-keeping per company policies and legal requirements.
- Open and close the store as required, following procedures outlined in the Operations P&P Manual.
- Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Additional Principles, Duties, and Responsibilities
Supervise Associates
- Participate in training programs, set goals for sales and tasks, and follow up regularly.
- Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on store operations and procedures.
- Encourage compliance with company policies, including safekeeping of inventory, funds, and property.
- Perform work of subordinates as needed.
- Communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent plus at least one year of relevant experience.
- Ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in operating a computer and relevant software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work with hands overhead.
- Standing required for up to 100% of work time.
- Ability to work independently.
