General Description, Principles, Duties, and Responsibilities

Generate Sales

  • Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.
  • Meet or exceed company objectives in all individual sales statistics.
  • Learn to provide consistent, documented appraisals of an associate’s sales performance, offering feedback on areas of strength and opportunity while aligning with company objectives.
  • Adhere to current visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the dress code policy.

Control Expenses

  • Protect company assets within the guidelines of LIDS retail policies.
  • Assist in preparing store schedules that ensure proper coverage and adhere to wage control policies.
  • Follow policies to accurately manage store inventory, including receiving, transferring, completing price changes, and conducting product counts.
  • Perform proper documentation and record-keeping per company policies and legal requirements.
  • Open and close the store as required, following procedures outlined in the Operations P&P Manual.
  • Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Additional Principles, Duties, and Responsibilities

Supervise Associates

  • Participate in training programs, set goals for sales and tasks, and follow up regularly.
  • Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on store operations and procedures.
  • Encourage compliance with company policies, including safekeeping of inventory, funds, and property.
  • Perform work of subordinates as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in operating a computer and relevant software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work with hands overhead.
  • Standing required for up to 100% of work time.
  • Ability to work independently.
