General Description, Principle Duties, and Responsibilities
Generate Sales
- Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.
- Meet or exceed company objectives in all individual sales statistics.
- Provide consistent, documented appraisals of an associate’s sales performance, offering feedback on strengths and areas for improvement, aligned with company objectives.
- Adhere to visual merchandising guidelines, including proper signage and store cleanliness.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Dress Code Policy.
Control Expenses
- Protect company assets within the guidelines of LIDS Retail policies.
- Assist in preparing store schedules that ensure proper coverage and conform to wage control guidelines.
- Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, price changes, and product counts, following all policies.
- Perform proper documentation and record-keeping per company policies and legal requirements.
- Open and close the store as required, following procedures outlined in the Operations P&P Manual.
- Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Additional Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise Associates
- Participate in training programs, set goals for sales and tasks, and conduct regular follow-ups.
- Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on store operations and procedures.
- Encourage compliance with company policies, including inventory, funds, and property security.
- Perform the work of subordinates as needed.
- Communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent plus at least one year of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to achieve sales results while minimizing losses.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in operating computers and relevant software programs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work with hands overhead.
- Standing required for up to 100% of work time.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
