Job description

General Description, Principle Duties, and Responsibilities

Generate Sales

  • Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.
  • Meet or exceed company objectives in all individual sales statistics.
  • Provide consistent, documented appraisals of an associate’s sales performance, offering feedback on strengths and areas for improvement, aligned with company objectives.
  • Adhere to visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Dress Code Policy.

Control Expenses

  • Protect company assets within LIDS Retail policies.
  • Assist in preparing store schedules that ensure proper coverage and adhere to wage control guidelines.
  • Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, price changes, and product counts, following policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping as per policies and laws.
  • Open and close the store following procedures outlined in the Operations P&P Manual.
  • Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Additional Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise Associates

  • Participate in training programs, set goals for sales and tasks, and conduct regular follow-ups.
  • Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on operations and procedures.
  • Encourage compliance with company policies, including inventory, funds, and property security.
  • Perform work of subordinates as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to achieve sales results while minimizing loss.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in operating computers and relevant software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work with hands overhead.
  • Standing required for up to 100% of the work time.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
