General Description, Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Generate Sales
- Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.
- Meet or exceed company objectives in all individual sales statistics.
- Provide consistent, documented appraisals of an associate’s sales performance. Offer feedback on strengths and opportunities, aligning with company objectives.
- Follow current visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Dress Code Policy.
Control Expenses
- Protect company assets according to LIDS Retail policies.
- Assist in preparing store schedules that ensure proper coverage and comply with wage control guidelines.
- Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and conducting product counts.
- Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping per company policies and legal requirements.
- Open and close the store following established procedures in the Operations P&P Manual.
- Support adherence to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Additional Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise Associates
- Participate in training programs, set goals for sales and tasks, and follow up regularly.
- Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on operations and procedures.
- Encourage compliance with company policies, including inventory and property safety.
- Perform work of subordinates as needed.
- Communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent plus at least one year of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to generate sales results while minimizing loss.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in operating computers and relevant software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work with hands overhead.
- Standing for up to 100% of the work time may be required.
- Ability to work independently.
