Job summary

Dollar Tree in Forest Park, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will help with daily tasks, greet customers, and ensure merchandise is well organized on the floor.

You will participate in opening/closing duties, train staff, and maintain a safe, clean environment while upholding company policies. This role is on-site and full-time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain front displays and promotions and protect store assets.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Maintain store cleanliness, restrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
