The role requires strong communication, leadership, and a willingness to learn all aspects of store management to advance to a Store Manager position, with emphasis on teamwork and exceptional customer care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math and computer operation skills are essential.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret basic business-related reports.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and direct others effectively.
• Ability to identify performance gaps, coach employees, and problem-solve effectively.
• Must demonstrate emotional control and treat all employees with respect and fairness.
• Strong willingness to learn all aspects of store operations with the ultimate goal of becoming an effective Store Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform all store managerial duties in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Communicate and enforce customer service standards and expectations to all store personnel.
• Take responsibility for opening and closing the store, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
• Assist in accounting aspects of daily operations, including cash management and balancing.
• Support the Store Manager in hiring, training, and disciplining store employees as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and managing inventory control to ensure adequate stock.
• Ensure store cleanliness standards are met and maintained throughout the day.
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and with high standards.
• Help develop store promotions and merchandising strategies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by upper management.
