Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage, Inc. in Truth or Consequences, NM, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for Store #1035. This part-time role involves leasing units, supervising a small team, and maintaining a clean, well-kept property to ensure excellent tenant service.

Hours are Mon-Fri 9:30am–6:00pm, Sat 9:00am–4:00pm, Sun 10:00am–2:00pm. Starting pay is $15.00/hour plus bonus; benefits include PTO, 401(k) matching, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering excellent customer service and sales for storage rental.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly.
• Willingness to adapt to changing tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Rent storage units and prepare rental agreements.
• Handle monetary transactions and banking activities.
• Clean vacated units and maintain property curb appeal.
• Promote storage solutions and upsell services to customers.
• Provide light maintenance and supervise on-site projects.
• Maintain knowledge of products and services and ensure tenant relations.
• Possess reliable transportation and valid driver’s license; pass background check.

Assistant Store Manager (Store #1035 -Truth or Consequences, NM) Job Summary - NO NIGHTS!

The right candidate pays attention to details, stays organized, and delights in finding great solutions to problems. This position is involved in all phases of the operation, including leasing storage and parking, managing a team, assisting with maintenance, supervising on-site projects, and maintaining good relationships with tenants.

Hours of Operation: Mon - Fri 9:30am to 6:00pm; Sat 9:00am - 4:00pm; Sun 10:00am - 2:00pm

This is a part-time position. Starting at $15.00/hour + Bonus

What You'll Do:

• Rent storage units


• Prepare rental agreements


• Handle monetary transactions and banking activities


• Cleaning of vacated units and general cleaning of the property


• Promotes and sells self-storage solutions to potential customers


• Light maintenance


• Maintain a working knowledge of all products and services


• Maintain general curb appeal


• Must have reliable transportation, a valid Driver’s License, and current auto insurance


• The position requires a background check


• Other duties as assigned by the Company
