Job Description

As Alpha Industries Assistant Store Manager you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, supervising operational and organizational standards of the store and leading the team. The position will focus on all internal and external customers receiving exemplary service and a positive store/brand experience plus achieving monthly sales goals. You will represent the brand through communication, and professionalism, as well as ensuring staff at the store are fashion and brand ambassadors through personal style and provide an excellent face-to-face customer experience that educates customers on the brand and connects them with the perfect experience/product for their needs.

Pay $23 per hour

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet sales goals, continuously motivate sales staff to achieve sales goals
  • Engage and connect with customers to create an exemplary shopping experience to build strong relationships and brand loyalty
  • Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge with customers to maximize sales and support sales associates
  • Resolve all client problems and complaints quickly and effectively
  • Perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures including counting register funds, opening and closing registers and securing facility.
  • Partner with Store Manager to develop events/incentives that will continue to grow customer base
  • Oversee assigned division of responsibilities and be accountable for results
  • Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and execute management functions in absence of store manager
  • Maintain visual standards and performance visual merchandising updates
  • Support the Store Manager with product and sales training for all sales associates.
  • Support the Store Manager in leading the team to ensure a positive customer experience from start to finish
  • Model and supervise the selling environment, provide consistent coaching on sales training process in order to ensure the highest level of customer service and sales

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Supporting the Store Manager in leading sales associates

Qualifications

  • 2+ Management experience, apparel business preferred
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations
  • Physical requirements:
    • Available to work store schedule, as needed, including evenings and weekends
    • Standing for extended period of time
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of merchandise
    • Comfortable climbing ladders
  • Team player with entrepreneurial spirit
  • Operates with a sense of urgency and effectively manages competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Experience working with a POS system
