Job summary

Hibbett is seeking an Assistant Manager for our store in West Helena, Arkansas. You will assist the Store Manager in daily operations, supervise in their absence, and ensure outstanding customer service and merchandise promotion.

The role requires 1-3 years of customer service experience in retail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position is non-exempt with hourly compensation of $15.44 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets and operations.
• Consult with the Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume store responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence.
• Participate in personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales stats, and expenses to ensure store profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department standards are met.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain high quality customer service as outlined in manuals.
• Provide extraordinary customer service and assist customers during peak periods.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold company policies and procedures across manuals and memos.
• Protect assets and financial information and report potential fraud risk.
