Position Purpose

Assistant Store Managers in Training are learning the various responsibilities and functions of roles such as Assistant Store Manager, Operations Assistant Store Manager, Night Operations Assistant Store Manager, and Specialty Assistant Store Manager. They will learn how to support the Store Manager in developing strategies to drive store sales and profitability through effective leadership and communication with associates.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise customer service initiatives, ensuring the store's in-stock position and maintaining an appealing store appearance. Support staffing, scheduling, stock management, customer issue resolution, and service needs.
2. Supervise store associates, including interviewing, hiring, motivating, coaching, developing, and communicating. Learn performance management and disciplinary processes.
3. Manage operations including front-end processes, merchandise receiving, stocking, equipment, and financial operations, with a focus on safety compliance.
4. Drive business analysis and merchandise planning to enhance profitability, working with key partners on merchandise placement and inventory management.

Direct Manager/Reports

Report to a Store Manager. Upon completing training, gradually assume supervisory responsibilities.

Travel Requirements

Overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements

Primarily sitting with opportunities to move; occasional lifting of light articles.

Working Conditions

Indoor environment, infrequent unpleasant conditions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
