SUMMARY: An Assistant Store Manager is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day store operations. They will oversee, train, and develop a team that consistently provides a superior guest experience, delivering on our brand promise of "Convenience You Can Trust" while meeting sales goals.

This position is based at a location which is a subsidiary of Majors Management, LLC, a leader at operating, developing, serving, and supporting retail and convenience centers and gas station properties, and a leading distributor of high-quality branded motor fuels.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Manage day-to-day store operations, including building, training, and developing a team that will provide a consistent superior guest experience.
  2. Foster a culture where the primary focus will always be on the guests' needs and providing "Convenience You Can Trust".
  3. Serve as a role model to team members in and outside of stores by consistently presenting a high energy, friendly attitude to team members and guests.
  4. Create an organized and process-oriented environment.
  5. Communicate company objectives as necessary so that store team understands how the company strategy fits into their day-to-day operations.
  6. Clearly set expectations with employees and track results.
  7. Focus on execution and creating a systems culture in your store.
  8. Discipline to optimize results by efficient expense spending and thorough planning.
  9. Assist with monitoring financials and sales to understand current business.
  10. Assist with forecasting and analysis of business trends and functions within payroll, loss prevention, and controllable expenses in order to maximize store performance and profitability.
Qualifications

  2. Skillful communicator with ability to communicate complex issues in an easily understood manner.
  3. Ability to plan, prioritize, and effectively deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment, with energy, drive, and a focus on execution.
  4. Good business acumen.
  5. Ability to work a flexible schedule of days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  6. Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory MVR.
  7. Availability to be on call 24/7.
Education and/or Experience
  1. High School diploma or GED is required.
  2. A minimum of 1-2 years of retail experience in a similar working environment.
