SmartStop Self Storage is hiring an Assistant Store Manager (Store #1387 - Hayward, CA) to oversee daily operations, leasing, and a small team. The role requires strong customer service, organization, and problem-solving skills to deliver an exceptional self-storage experience.

The position offers a daytime schedule (Mon-Fri 9:30am-6:00pm; Sat 9:00am-6:00pm; Sun 10:00am-2:00pm) with starting pay of $20.00/hour plus bonus, plus benefits and growth opportunities at a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service skills with ability to upsell storage solutions.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced retail-like environment.
• Strong teamwork and adaptability to change.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rental agreements.
• Handle monetary transactions and banking activities.
• Clean vacated units and perform general property cleaning.
• Promote and sell self-storage solutions to customers.
• Perform light maintenance and maintain knowledge of products and services.
• Maintain reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License with current auto insurance.
• Background check required.
• Other duties as assigned by the Company.
