Position Purpose
Assistant Store Managers in Training are learning the responsibilities and functions of roles like Assistant Store Manager, Operations Assistant Store Manager, Night Operations Assistant Store Manager, and Specialty Assistant Store Manager. They support the Store Manager in developing strategies for store sales and profitability through effective leadership and communication with associates.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise customer service initiatives, including staffing, stock management, store appearance, and resolving customer issues.
• Oversee store associates, including hiring, coaching, training, and performance management.
• Manage store operations, including sales transactions, freight, safety compliance, and equipment maintenance.
• Drive business analysis and merchandise planning to enhance profitability and inventory management.

Reporting and Travel

• Report to a Store Manager and gradually assume supervisory responsibilities.
• Overnight travel less than 10% required.

Physical and Working Conditions

• Primarily sitting with opportunities to move; occasional lifting of light articles.
• Indoor, comfortable environment with infrequent unpleasant conditions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and legally permitted to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of work experience.
