Job Description

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring outstanding customer service and regulatory compliance.

Duties

Essential Duties:

  • Serve and educate customers on the product portfolio by presenting all options for products and/or services to meet their needs.
  • Escalate issues to the store manager, District Director of Operations (DDO), and corporate office if unable to resolve directly with the customer.
  • Answer telephone inquiries regarding general questions, customer applications, requests, or other issues.
  • Perform outbound sales, courtesy, and collection calls following federal regulations and store policies.
  • Respond professionally to customers, explaining solutions and ensuring they feel supported and valued.
  • Handle cash, manage cash drawers, and perform bank deposits or pickups as needed.
  • Balance daily receipts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform customer verifications.
  • Process transactions accurately, including loans, check cashing, and Net Spend.
  • Comply with federal and state regulations, company policies, and complete required trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education And Experience:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 1+ year experience in sales, customer service, or cash handling preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.

Physical Demands:

  • Work in retail/office environment with extensive cash handling.
  • Extended phone and computer use.
  • Long periods of standing and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Travel / Attendance:

  • Travel within the district using personal vehicle; may include overnight travel.
  • Work scheduled shifts.
