A leading outdoor retailer is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for their new store in Shirley. This role involves supporting the store manager, driving sales, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role is based at our New Store opening Late June in Shirley, Christchurch
Our Assistant Store Managers form a duo with their Store Managers and are trained to become the next store managers once positions become available.
As Assistant Store Managers, you are responsible for driving a successful store through sales, KPIs, Visuals and people. You will support the store manager in leading, developing and inspiring your team in an environment where product knowledge is really important to our customers, who often have a real passion for the outdoors. They require a great looking store and a team that can deliver a high level of customer service, sharing their own passion or experiences and helping everyone enjoy the great outdoors. We’re all Brand Ambassadors here! Never fear though, we support all the above being achieved through our hands on and online development and training.

About you
We are looking for someone with…
A can do attitude with willingness to learn new things and take on challenges
Excellent people skills with a proven track record of dealing with customers in some aspect and has cash handling experience
Someone who is punctual, honest and reliable
A passion for selling and customer engagement
Enjoys working in a fast paced environment where there's always something to do
Management or leadership experience is great, however we do provide ongoing training and growth opportunities.
*Candidates with apparel experience in a retail environment will take priority in the recruitment process for this role.
