Assistant Store Manager - Liberty Court Shopping Center, Randallstown, MD

Position Summary

The primary purpose of the Assistant Store Manager is to assist the Store Manager in daily store operations to ensure maximum sales and profitability through merchandising, managing expenses and inventory, training and developing staff, human resources management, and providing outstanding customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the quality and performance of retail staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Model effective leadership to motivate staff towards store goals and standards.
  • Assist with recruitment, training, and development of store personnel.
  • Support performance evaluations of staff.
  • Help manage expenses and develop strategies to meet budget goals.
  • Monitor store for issues related to loss or inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure operational compliance, safety, and standards are maintained.
  • Train employees in selling and merchandising techniques.
  • Uphold company customer service standards to ensure a friendly environment.
  • Assist with merchandise inventory counts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work a standard week not exceeding 40 hours with a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications

Must have at least one year of retail management experience. Skills required include strong communication, interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, professionalism, analytical abilities, results-driven mindset, confidentiality, organization, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Willingness to work in multiple stores within the district and travel as needed.

Physical Requirements
  • Stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, work in a fast-paced environment, and have reliable transportation.
  • Willing to travel via car, plane, or train.
Compensation

Hourly pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00, with bonus opportunities. Full-time roles include benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and company-paid time off, and eligibility for the 401K plan.
