Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Brandon, MS to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will supervise daily activities, maintain stockrooms, and ensure safety and policy adherence.

Responsibilities include training Store Associates, organizing merchandise, processing directives, and maintaining clean, inviting storefronts while delivering strong service to customers and protecting company assets. This role is full-time and on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Customer service excellence and organizational skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day store activities.
• Support customer service with a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and ensure store fixtures are effective.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and adhere to safety policies.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and waste removal.
