Job summary

Aéropostale is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager to deliver an exceptional customer experience and drive store results. You will help lead a team, coaching and developing associates while maintaining a visually appealing environment and strong store operations.

You will manage with urgency, adapt to change, and demonstrate selling and product knowledge to maximize sales and brand loyalty across shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a Co/Assistant Manager in apparel or similar retail environment.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales goals.
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
• Occasional travel to other store locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans to achieve results and grow the business.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools.
• Develop team members who deliver a great customer experience.
• Oversee assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for results.
• Support store standards for merchandising and operations consistently.
• Learn all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive the business.
