Job summary

Dollar Tree in Ormond Beach, FL, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to assist with store operations, customer service, and team development. Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and interpret operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks including long periods of standing and walking.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise and transfer from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain compliance with store policies.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, keeping records (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling).
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and secure all assets.
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing store associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment and positive interactions with customers and staff.
• Keep bathrooms and floors clean and restocked; manage general housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned.
