Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Arnold, MO. In this full-time leadership role, you will support the Store Manager with daily operations, supervision, sales, banking, and records, while delivering comprehensive benefits and community-focused service.

You will contribute to staff development, customer relations, and store performance, ensuring safety, compliance, and a positive shopping experience for customers and volunteers alike.

Qualifications

Experience supervising staff in a retail environment.
Ability to implement customer development and retention plans.
Familiarity with budgeting and expense monitoring.
Understanding of safety policies and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist Store Manager in day-to-day operations including supervision.
Help meet production and sales goals while maintaining store standards.
Maintain store appearance, safety, cleanliness and security.
Support banking and record-keeping procedures.
Coordinate staff training and coaching with store leadership.
Communicate store operations and issues to the Store Manager.
