Job summary

The TJ Maxx team in Austin, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager who will empower the store team to deliver exceptional customer moments and drive daily results. You will lead merchandising, front-of-store operations, scheduling, and loss prevention with a focus on creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for customers and Associates.

You will recruit and mentor Associates, manage performance, and partner with leadership to implement store initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager.
• Ability to recruit, coach, and mentor a large team.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by supporting sales results, managing expenses and overseeing operations.
• Lead training and development for Associates to deliver a positive customer experience.
• Plan and execute projects, targets and store changes with input on succession planning.
• Implement strategies to meet sales, expense and customer service goals while reducing shrink.
