Job Summary

This position maintains a high-energy, positive environment, demonstrating behaviors that support client-centric service. The Assistant Salon Director helps drive store performance, fosters superior client service, and maintains operational excellence to meet or exceed productivity goals. This role manages and supervises Tanning Consultants, leading by example in all operations. The Assistant Salon Director fosters urgency to achieve objectives and holds the team accountable for delivering an exceptional client experience.

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead by example in creating a client-centric experience and achieving personal sales goals.
  • Maintain a professional, clean salon environment.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for team members.
  • Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve performance.
  • Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions.
  • Assist in controlling revenue and expenses.
  • Help maintain proper staffing levels for productivity and customer service while controlling labor costs.
  • Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required to provide management coverage.
  • Reliable transportation to go to the bank as needed.
  • Work five days per week, approximately 40-45 hours depending on status.
Experience & Skills
  • College education preferred but not required.
  • Management and/or sales experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
  • Problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor.
  • Team building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for long periods.
  • Bend at the waist to clean equipment.
  • Lift or assist in lifting items and boxes.
  • Bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc.
  • Perform cleaning functions such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
