A leading nonprofit organization is seeking a Store Manager to oversee warehouse and store operations. Job description

Home Center 2 is seeking a proficient, results-oriented candidate with excellent skills for this position. If you are a fun, energetic, person with good leadership skills and are looking for a meaningful position please see Jason or Josh for more information about the position.

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least three years’ experience in retail management and POS experience.
  • Requires a demonstrated competence in customer service, personnel management, personnel coaching and development, safety management, computer proficiency and inventory control.
  • Strong organizational skills: high attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Texas driver’s license and maintain a good driving record in compliance with Habitat’s fleet policy requirements. Must also pass a background check.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Knowledge of home improvement products preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages all phases of warehouse and store operation in the store manager’s absence.
  • Assists the store manager in all the following:
  • Supervise store and warehouse personnel including scheduling, training, hiring, coaching, discipline, and evaluation.
  • Oversight of shipping and receiving of freight
  • Maintains all operational forms, financial records, and processes.
  • Assists the manager in all inventory control and maintenance.
  • Coordinates store and warehouse operations with all other Habitat departments
  • Oversight of maintenance and upkeep of a 50,000-100,000 + square foot facility
  • Responsible for cultivation of new and existing donors
  • Responsible for the implementation and oversight of safety procedures
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Abilities Required:

  • Much of the work is performed while standing and/or walking.
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires some bending, squatting, twisting, climbing, reaching, and sitting.
  • Requires the use of hands for grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to dust, and fumes from warehouse equipment and vehicles.
  • Must be able to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Requires accurate mathematical calculation abilities (add, subtract, multiply, & divide).
