Overview

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a passionate, people-first store leader to oversee store operations. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for driving brand and operational excellence, delivering excellent customer service, coaching and developing teammates, and managing store performance and planning.

• Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the store department.
• Plan and organize short-term and long-term strategies with the Store Manager.
• Recruit actively in the community and support teammates' community involvement.
• Partner with store leadership to hire a diverse team and manage workforce planning including payroll and scheduling.
• Ensure team compliance with operational guidelines, brand standards, customer service, and company policies.
• Drive shrink results through safety, loss prevention, and cash-handling procedures.
• Communicate transparently and foster an engaging environment for the team.
• Coach and develop team members, promoting learning and growth.
• Create an inclusive environment where everyone feels safe, welcome, and respected.
