The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people's lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods, we provide financial support to assist men and women with various social and spiritual challenges. Our in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities, providing each individual with a clean and healthy living environment, nutritious food, work therapy, leisure activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual guidance. Our goal is to develop life skills and foster a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. More than just a job, each team member contributes to recycling goods that help repair broken lives.

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in managing store operations and supervising store personnel.

Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the Store Manager to create a welcoming and hospitable work environment.
  2. Maintain excellent customer service relationships.
  3. Hold staff accountable for adherence to policies and procedures.
  4. Assist in scheduling Sales Associates and completing payroll.
  5. Help meet sales, production, and expense budget goals to ensure profitability.
  6. Ensure the store is well-stocked and all products are properly displayed.
  7. Participate in reviewing job applications, interviewing candidates as needed.
  8. Assist in training, guiding, and supervising personnel.
  9. Conduct regular performance evaluations to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret simple income and expense reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate a team.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience in sales (preferred).
  • Supervisory experience (preferred).
