Stewart's Shops in Vermont is hiring Assistant Managers with flexible schedules to provide excellent customer service in our shops. This entry-level management role is designed to develop leadership skills while you grow with a fast-growing convenience store chain.

If you have food service or retail experience, you fit right in. You will help run the shop, assist customers, stock shelves, prepare quick foods, and maintain a clean, friendly environment while promoting operations and team training.

Qualifications

• Entry-level management role focusing on leadership development.
• Experience in food service or retail preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Stewart's operations and culture.
• Ability to teach others by example and create a positive atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Effectively run a shop in the manager's absence.
• Assist shop partners and customers with questions and concerns.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of Stewart's operations, tools and culture.
• Teach others by example and create a positive and fun atmosphere.
• Assist with schedule writing and requests.
• Prepare food items such as pastries, sandwiches, wraps, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza and various other Quick & Easy Food On The Go options.
• Make coffee and keep multiple flavor options fresh and available throughout the day.
• Scoop and serve ice cream.
• Process customer transactions through the register.
• Stock shop shelves, as well as the cooler and freezer.
• Maintain standards of cleanliness inside and outside of the shop.
• Be aware of shop promotions and communicate them with customers.
