Shamrock Foods Company is seeking an Assistant Manager I to support daily store operations and act as Store Manager in their absence. You will drive sales, manage inventory, coordinate with departments, and lead a team to deliver a positive shopping experience.

You will foster growth through promotions, training, scheduling, and strict adherence to safety and company policies, while supporting payroll and expense controls. Relocation flexibility is encouraged where needed.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of merchandising/retail grocery experience or 1+ year managing store inventory.
• Degree preferred.
• Able to stock merchandise weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and follow through skills.
• Strong problem solving, decision making and financial analysis skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be open to promotional relocation in the Southwestern United States.
• Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays.

Aufgaben

• Drive sales and gross profit goals for the assigned store.
• Support continuous operational and financial improvements within the store.
• Ensure every customer has a positive shopping experience.
• Partner with Merchandising, Operations, Customer Service and HR on decision-making in each area.
• Responsible for sales calls on potential new customers and growing existing customer business.
• Develop plans to increase store sales and implement sales promotions.
• Maintain sales records and manage inventory.
• Assist in apportioning work among associates.
• Support store expense control and payroll optimization.
• Train Assistant Manager II on management tasks.
• Provide supervision, training and development for associates.
• Interview, select and train associates; direct and review disciplines.
• Contribute to hiring/termination decisions with Store manager input.
• Prepare work schedules for all store associates.
• Ensure safety and security of employees and property.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and food safety rules.
• Manage bad check process and report to accounting.
• Act as Store Manager in Manager’s absence.
• Open and close the store; recognize successes daily.
• Other duties as assigned.
