General Function / Summary:

They embody the company’s values and ethics, supporting our mission. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring outstanding customer service and regulatory compliance.

Job Description

Essential Duties:

• Serve and educate customers on our product portfolio, presenting all options that meet their needs.
• Escalate issues to the store manager, District Director of Operations (DDO), and corporate office if unresolved directly with the customer.
• Answer inquiries via telephone regarding questions, applications, or requests.
• Conduct outbound sales, courtesy, and collection calls following federal regulations and company policies.
• Respond professionally to customers, explaining solutions and ensuring they feel supported.
• Handle cash, including managing a cash drawer, deposits, and safe transfers; may include bank deposits or pickups.
• Balance daily receipts with sales reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform customer verifications and process transactions accurately, including loans, check cashing, and Net Spend.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
• Complete required compliance trainings and quarterly acknowledgments timely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in sales, customer service, or cash handling preferred.
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
• Own reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.

Physical Demands:

• Work in a retail/office environment, extensive cash handling, long periods of standing, computer use, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Travel / Attendance:

• Travel within district using personal vehicle, possibly overnight, and work scheduled shifts.
