Overview

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in building a team that delivers results through providing an excellent customer experience. You will share responsibility for executing all store operations and maintaining a visually appealing store. Your role involves creating a positive environment that develops and engages managers, associates, and customers daily. You should be energetic, team-oriented, and passionate about contributing to a winning team.

The Assistant Store Manager reports directly to the Store Manager.

Responsibilities

As the Assistant Store Manager, your key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with the Store Manager to create action plans to achieve sales targets and grow the business.
  • Demonstrating product knowledge, sales techniques, and operational skills to maximize sales.
  • Engaging with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools.
  • Collaborating with the Store Manager to develop team members committed to delivering excellent customer experiences.
  • Overseeing assigned responsibilities and being accountable for results.
  • Supporting the Store Manager in maintaining store standards for merchandising and operations.
  • Learning all aspects of the business and sharing ideas to improve performance.
  • Remaining composed during challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
  • Performing POS transactions during designated shifts and managing store functions in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Modeling company values of respect, integrity, teamwork, compassion, accountability, and inclusivity.

Qualifications

You will also have :

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Co-Manager or Assistant Manager in a similar volume, apparel retail environment (preferred).
  • A proven track record of exceeding sales and performance expectations.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, to meet business needs.
  • Occasional travel to other store locations may be required.
