Assistant Store Manager - Gerstner Memorial, Lake Charles, LA

Join our team at DTLR, Inc. as an Assistant Store Manager - Gerstner Memorial, Lake Charles, LA.

Position Overview: The primary role of the Assistant Store Manager is to support the Store Manager in daily store operations, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through effective merchandising, expense and inventory management, staff training, and delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the performance of retail staff and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Lead recruitment, training, and development of store personnel.
  • Assist with performance evaluations and provide feedback.
  • Manage expenses and develop strategies to meet budget goals.
  • Monitor store operations for compliance, safety, and standards.
  • Support training in selling and merchandising techniques.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and a friendly shopping environment.
  • Assist with merchandise inventory counts and other duties as assigned.

Work schedule may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with a standard workweek not exceeding 40 hours.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year in retail management.
