Position Overview

Buff City Soap is on a mission to create handmade products free of harsh ingredients, filled with nourishing plant-based ingredients. We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager to maintain a high-energy, positive environment, drive store performance, foster superior client service, and maintain operational excellence. This role involves managing the Makery, leading by example, and ensuring an exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities

1. Monitor and manage daily operations of the Makery in a fast-paced environment.
2. Lead by example in creating a client-centric experience, meeting sales expectations, and ensuring product quality.
3. Maintain a professional and clean Makery environment.
4. Set clear goals and objectives for team members.
5. Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve team performance.
6. Manage inventory of raw materials, finished products, and supplies.
7. Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and support other Makery Manager functions.
8. Assist the Store Manager in controlling revenue and expenses.
9. Work nights and weekends as required.
10. Expect a 40-45 hour work week, five days per week.

Qualifications

• College education preferred but not required.
• Management and/or sales experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills at all levels.
• Strong leadership, training, and motivational skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Sensitivity to scents and fragrances.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform cleaning functions.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour.
