Job summary

Museum Coffee Co. in Lynchburg, VA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead the team and daily operations of the cafe.

This full-time role partners with the Store Manager to coach baristas, ensure outstanding guest service, and maintain quality food and beverages in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will oversee scheduling, inventory, and store organization while upholding food safety standards and a welcoming atmosphere in the cafe.

You’ll partner with the Store Manager to lead daily operations, develop team members, and help ensure every guest receives outstanding service and consistently great food and beverages.

What You’ll Do

Lead the Team

• Lead by example with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Coach, motivate, and develop baristas and shift leaders.

Deliver an Outstanding Guest Experience

• Create memorable experiences for every guest.
• Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and care.
• Ensure every food and beverage item consistently meets Muse quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment.

Drive Daily Operations

• Oversee café operations during assigned shifts.
• Assist with scheduling, labor management, inventory, ordering, and store organization.
• Help monitor sales and operational performance.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
• Jump in wherever needed—from making drinks to stocking inventory—to support the team during busy periods.

Physical Requirements

Compensation: The hourly pay listed in this posting reflects the starting base wage. Team members also participate in our tip program, providing additional earnings above the posted hourly rate.
