Job Description
General Function / Summary:

They embody the company’s values and ethics in support of our mission. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring outstanding customer service and regulatory compliance.

Duties
Essential Duties:
  • Serve and educate customers on the product portfolio by presenting all options for products and/or services that meet their needs.
  • Escalate issues to the store manager, District Director of Operations (DDO), and corporate office if unable to resolve directly with the customer.
  • Answer telephone inquiries regarding general questions, customer applications, requests, or issues.
  • Perform outbound customer sales, courtesy, and collection calls in accordance with regulations and store policies.
  • Respond professionally and accurately to customers, explaining solutions and ensuring they feel supported and valued.
  • Interact with customers using active listening skills to confirm or clarify information and diffuse complaints.
  • Handle cash, including managing a cash drawer, counting deposits, and other cash handling tasks; may include bank deposits or pickups.
  • Balance individual batch receipts with store sales reports and resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform customer verifications to validate presented information.
  • Process transactions accurately per company policy, including loans, check cashing, and Net Spend.
  • Comply with federal and state regulations and company policies.
  • Complete compliance trainings and quarterly I Agree acknowledgments on time.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year of experience in sales, customer service, or cash handling preferred.
  • Strong customer service, active listening, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
  • Own reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and automobile insurance.
  • Willingness to embrace core values: accountable, inclusive, transparent, focused.
Physical Demands:
  • Call center/retail/office environment.
  • Extensive cash handling.
  • Extended phone usage and long periods of standing.
  • Extended computer use; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Travel / Attendance:
  • Travel to all stores within the district using personal vehicle.
  • Potential travel to neighboring districts and overnight stays.
  • Work scheduled shifts.
