Job Overview
As an Assistant Store Manager at Lids, your responsibilities include:

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Control Expenses
- Protect company assets according to retail policies.
- Assist in preparing store work schedules within wage control guidelines.
- Manage inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and counting.
- Perform timely and consistent product counts.
- Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping per policies and legal requirements.
- Open and close the store following operational procedures.
Supervise Associates
- Act as the store manager on duty when necessary.
- Manage staff through training, goal setting, and follow-up.
- Handle disciplinary actions and staffing issues.
- Participate in recruiting and training.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safeguard assets.
- Perform duties of subordinates as needed.
- Communicate effectively across all levels.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to generate sales and minimize loss.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer proficiency with relevant software.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work with hands overhead.
- Standing for up to 100% of shift; ability to work independently.
